On the 11^th of September, 2009, the CEC’s Annual General Meeting was convened with nearly eighty people in attendance.

Xiao Yuhong, President of the 9^th Executive Committee, delivered the opening address, after which Honorary General Secretary, Pamela Chua took over, inviting representatives of each portfolio to deliver a report of all the activities they had handled in the last academic year.

While everyone provided great insight into the workings of the committee and gave valuable advice on tackling potential problems, Rocky Stephanus, the Sports and Recreational Secretary, had the crowd in splits with his witty one-liners and a well concocted story about the founder of the School of Computer Engineering, Mr. Harcharan Singh.

Once everyone had finished delivering their annual reports, the incoming President Eugene Tang delivered an impromptu speech.

The meeting was then adjourned but almost everyone stayed back to meet with their fellow committee members and discuss their plans for the year ahead. Guess it’s a very good sign that everyone is already this enthusiastic about working for the CEC.
